1. Controller

LokaLinc (“we”, “us”) is the controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Categories of Personal Data

We process the following categories of personal data:

• Account data (name, username, email address)
• Profile information (city)
• User-generated content (posts, messages, photos)
• Communication data (support requests, inquiries)
• Technical data (IP address, device information, log data, timestamps, usage data such as app interactions)

3. Purposes and Legal Basis (Art. 6 GDPR)

Processing is carried out on the following legal bases:

• Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of contract (provision of the platform)
• Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests (platform security, fraud prevention, service improvement, enforcement of terms)
• Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with legal obligations
• Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent, where applicable

4. Hosting and Infrastructure

The platform is hosted by external service providers. Data is stored on secure infrastructure within the European Union or in jurisdictions offering adequate data protection safeguards pursuant to Art. 44 et seq. GDPR. Some service providers may process data outside the European Union. In such cases, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are applied.

5. Communication Content

Messages, posts, and other user-generated content are stored on service providers. Access by administrators is restricted and may occur only where necessary for security, abuse prevention, technical maintenance, or legal compliance.

6. Data Retention

Upon verified deletion request, account data is erased within 30 days unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise. Users can request account deletion via the support email.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be disclosed:

• To service providers under data processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR)
• To competent authorities where legally required
• To other users where inherent to platform functionality

We do not use personal data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

8. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures pursuant to Art. 32 GDPR, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls.

9. Your Rights

You have rights under Articles 15–21 GDPR, including access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability.

10. Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the platform, including app usage, feature interactions, and general engagement patterns. This information helps us improve functionality, usability, and overall user experience. The data collected may include interactions within the app and general technical information, and may be associated with a user account.

We do not use analytics data for advertising purposes or cross-service tracking.
