A personal need became the start of LokaLinc.
LokaLinc started from a personal situation: I was trying to find someone on a similar route so my mother would not have to manage her first long international journey from India to Germany alone.
I searched through groups, asked people, and waited for replies. The help may have existed somewhere, but I could not find a companion in time.
That experience stayed with me. Later, I saw the same pattern in many parts of expat life in Germany: finding travel companionship, temporary housing, or answers to everyday situations often meant jumping between different platforms, groups, and chats.
That observation led to LokaLinc: one organized place for Indian expats in Germany to find support, offer support, and learn from people who have already lived through similar situations.
What LokaLinc means
The name LokaLinc carries the idea behind the platform: local people, linked together.
For Indian expats in Germany, useful help often exists somewhere in the community. LokaLinc is built to bring those local connections into one organized place.
Why it is free
LokaLinc is free to join because the first goal is simple: make community support easier to find and easier to offer.
It started as a community need, not as a profit-first product. Running a platform still takes time, effort, and cost, but the priority right now is to grow a useful and trusted community for Indian expats in Germany.

Where this is going
LokaLinc is still young, but the direction is clear. It should become a reliable place where Indian expats in Germany can ask, offer, search, and support each other without jumping between scattered groups every time life gets complicated.
It is built from personal experience, but it is meant for the wider community: people arriving, moving, studying, working, raising families, and helping the next person who is figuring things out. We will keep improving it carefully, based on real community needs.
